Performance & Design
The UAV is somewhat limited when it comes to its flight performance, but mostly because it has a max horizontal speed of the only 5m per second, which equals to about 11mph. It can only ascend at approximately 1m per second, which equals to 2.2mph, and has a 100m, 0.06 mile, maximum range. The response times are immediate and work quite well, and is one of the best drone applications available for this model specifically, and others as well.
Yuneec Breeze 4K made from the high-quality plastic material. Well, in the beginning, when you take the drone out of the package, the plastic doesn’t feel all that good and high quality. Although, its quality comes through when you crash a couple of times, and it comes out without a scathe. The drone’s propellers designed to retract to reduce damages that may result from impact. It prevents your unit from possibly breaking or snapping. It comes in a dense and lightweight design. Its measurements are 11 by 8.7 by 3.1 inches and weigh about 385g. It packs small, and you can take it in one of those large jacket pockets, or pack it in your backpack.
Camera
This drone has a fantastic camera designed with a wide range of features to deliver an incredible shot. Breeze can shoot 4K videos at 30 fps. The camera can also shoot 1080p resolution videos at 60 fps and 720p videos at 120 fps. The still camera takes awesome shots at 13 megapixels. The camera also swivels at the tap of a button, and it has a wide-angle of view at 117 degrees. However, when shooting in 4K, the camera does not allow you to use the stabilization setting. Connect the drone with your smartphone, and you will find that you can take still shots, shoot video at 30 fps, and at the same time, transmit whatever it is pulling to your smartphone in real-time to enable you to get a first-person view of what the drone is seeing.
Contoller
The controller has a rest for your smartphone. It looks like a play station controller, and it allows you to guide and control your drone when it is on the flight to take photos or shoot videos by merely using joysticks. Besides, you can get an FPV first-person view through your smartphone. The drone’s infrared positioning and optical flow sensors enable it to maintain its position while flying indoors or outdoors. Flight Modes
The Yuneec Breeze 4K comes with five fully automated flight modes :
1.) Selfie mode – Allows you to take incredible aerial selfies.
2.) Pilot mode – Gives you better control when using manual controls.
3.) Orbit mode – When you want the drone to orbit around you or something else when standing still.
4.) Journey mode – The drone flies away to capture whatever you want it to and returns to you.
5.) Follow me mode – The drone will follow you using GPS capturing everything according to your movements.
Software
The app for the Breeze is accessible for both iOS and Android phones. The app shows virtual joysticks, which can use to move the drone around and orient the camera as needed. It makes adjusting the drone’s position or camera much more accessible.
Battery & Charging
The drone comes with a pair of 3S 11.1 V 1150mAh Lithium Polymer batteries, which recharge fast, 40 minutes maximum. The flight time is between 12 and 15 minutes, a bit short, but then you can buy a second set of batteries for longer flight time. When flying horizontally, the drone can do a speed of 11mph and can rise at a rate of 2.2mph.
