Introduction
The manufacturer XGIMI TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD. released its top model, a Full HD projector – XGIMI H1. The XGIMI H1 projector has an optical resolution of 1920 x 1080 (Full HD), and software provides 4K viewing. OSRAM’s bright LED lamps use as the light source, with a service life of over 30,000 hours. The projector has good communication capabilities. It has dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0. The 2 USB (2.0 and 3.0) ports for connecting external devices. Optical audio output and 3.5mm headphone jack.
Appearance
The XGIMI H1 projector has an original appearance – an almost cubic shape, small dimensions. The front and side edges cover with a plate of perforated aluminum, which provides adequate ventilation of the device. The device well assembles – it does not have any backlashes and does not break during operation. The front panel contains the device lens and power indicator. Two Harman / Kardon speakers can see behind the perforated grille. There is an oblong hole on the right side of the lens; it uses to change the focal length using the device included in the delivery set.
The lens is covered by a shutter, which is also the projector’s power switch. The top panel is made of black plastic. It has a power button for the device and touches control buttons for the built-in player. A touch slider runs through the entire panel to control the volume. Two passive radiators are visible below, serving to improve the reproduction of low frequencies. There are ventilation holes. There are four legs in the corners, which can unscrew to mount a tripod plate (not included in the kit and purchased separately). The plate comes with four bushings and mounting screws. If you plan to use the XGIMI H1 projector on a tripod or a wall or ceiling mount bracket, be sure to order the plate.
Remote Control
The remote control links to the projector via Bluetooth. It has all the needed keys for comfortable projector control. At the bottom, there is a functional switch and a remote control reset button. The remote control can also work as an ‘Aero mouse’; to activate this mode, and you need to shake it. A hand cursor appears on the screen. The OK button executes the selected items. It can also use as an accelerator in applications. To enable this mode, you must move the switch to the right position (Fn).
Operating System
The XGIMI H1 projector runs on the Android 5.1 operating system. When the XGIMI H1 projector turned on for the first time, the image is out of focus, after a while, it will automatically sharpen, and the XGIMI H1 projector will set up in English. Bring the remote control (must be charged) to the projector at a distance of no more than 10 cm. Press the ‘Home’ and ‘Step back’ buttons simultaneously – the indicator on the remote control will blink green. Wait until the hand starts flashing blue. Click the OK button. Auto sharpening stops. Move the switch on the remote to the right and use the volume buttons to adjust the projector’s sharpness. You will offer several points of the initial installation – connecting WlFi, setting the time, and language. The projector then displays the start-up screen.
