Introduction
The quadcopter DJI Phantom 3 Advanced is an advanced aircraft model, which can hardly be called just a toy. It has high maneuverability, precise control, so it is with pleasure that it is launched not only by children but also by adults. A camera installed on the quadrocopter, the image from which is transmitted to the operator by the control device. The Advanced version is an intermediate version of the model between the most straightforward Standard and the top Professional. An older and more expensive model distinguished it by lower battery capacity and a more straightforward camera.
Design & Functionality
The maximum height of the Phantom 3 in the advanced version raised to 500 meters (initially limited to the same 120, but this restriction easily removed in the DJI GO program), but the maximum speed remains the same. The power of the Phantom 3 charger increased, which reduced the charging time of the phantom three battery – about 1.5 hours. Now it also charges the advanced control panel.
An essential point is the presence of GLONASS, in addition to GPS. It significantly improves the accuracy of the positioning module; the auto-return function when the signal is lost has become better. Well and, of course, the visual positioning system stands apart in phantom three advanced. The drone can fly in enclosed spaces 3 meters high, low above the ground, in areas where there is no signal from satellites. Scanners of the copter scan the surface, which allows it to understand its location relative to the ground.
Camera
There are still a few differences, unlike the pro version. Full HD-video in phantom three advanced versions now supports 60 fps, and high-definition video 2.7k lowered FPS to 25. The amount of supported memory also increased in advanced from 8 to 64 gigabytes, which solves the problem with the lack of mind in the standard phantom (and it is often not enough).
Remote Control
With the DJI Phantom 3 Advanced model, a new normal-mount remote control supplied for a smartphone or tablet. Since the standard from DJI is also a slightly lite version, the flight time reduced by 2 minutes. It is not critical, and it is not clear how weighting from 70 grams for vehicles weighing about 1.3 kg could reduce the flight time by as much as 2 minutes.
